Duties:

  1. Compliance of protection and self-protection equipment with local and international standard specifications.
  2. Using all available scientific means in the field of identifying the causes of fire and following up on scientific developments in this field.
  3. Supervision and guidance regarding dealing with hazardous materials and how to handle them, transport them and prepare scenarios for related exercises and approve them.
  4. Holding specialized courses for both external parties and civil defense personnel in the fields ofinvestigating the causes of fire, laboratories and hazardous materials.
  5. Contributing to the detection of hazardous materials (sample analysis).
  6. Compliance of civil defense purchases with standard specifications.
  7. Technical and scientific supervision of investigation work and hazardous materials in the Kingdom.
  8. Cooperation and coordination with the parties and entities concerned with investigating the causes of fire.
