Duties:
- Compliance of protection and self-protection equipment with local and international standard specifications.
- Using all available scientific means in the field of identifying the causes of fire and following up on scientific developments in this field.
- Supervision and guidance regarding dealing with hazardous materials and how to handle them, transport them and prepare scenarios for related exercises and approve them.
- Holding specialized courses for both external parties and civil defense personnel in the fields ofinvestigating the causes of fire, laboratories and hazardous materials.
- Contributing to the detection of hazardous materials (sample analysis).
- Compliance of civil defense purchases with standard specifications.
- Technical and scientific supervision of investigation work and hazardous materials in the Kingdom.
- Cooperation and coordination with the parties and entities concerned with investigating the causes of fire.
