Occupancy permit inspection (receipt)
An inspection date is determined through a daily plan prepared in advance based on the official letters addressed to the Civil Defense from the entities issuing the occupancy permit, or electronically through the Greater Amman Municipality, not to exceed 24 hours from the date of the official letter. The concerned party is notified of the inspection date through a message or phone call. .
The Public Service Office fills out the inspection service request form, prepares the transaction file, if any, and distributes the documents.
The inspection officer makes a telephone call to the facility owner to confirm the inspection date, in the morning of the specified day. The inspection officer visits the site for which an occupancy permit is to be obtained and determines the prevention and self-protection requirements that must be available at this site. The inspection officer then documents the results of the inspection on report forms
After writing the inspection reports, they are transferred to the head of the Occupancy Permits Branch to be signed. These reports are either approved or disapproved. The head of the Occupancy Permits Branch audits these reports in terms of their conformity with the requirements for prevention and self-protection and according to occupancy.
In the event of approval and after the report is approved by the Head of the Occupancy Permits Branch, the detection officer fills out the warrant form and his authorized representative, the Director of the Prevention and Self-Protection Department then signs it. Then the fees for civil defense services are collected, the warrant receipt number for the report is written, and then a letter is prepared for the entity. the occupancy permit is approved and sent to the Office of the Prevention and Self-Protection Department to be given an issued number and then sent to the entity of the occupancy permit and a copy to the directorate with AOR.
In the event of non-approval, the report will be audited and approved, and a copy of the inspection report will be given to the person concerned, so that the conditions in the facility can be corrected, and a copy will be sent to the competent directorate.
If the recommendations are implemented by the concerned party, he will contact the department to set an inspection date to ensure the implementation of the recommendations. In the event of approval, the issuing side will be contacted with approval to provide the facility an occupancy permit.
Inspection for profession licenses
The officers of the field prevention departments, after contacting them electronically from the Greater Amman Municipality or the municipalities, conduct an inspection visit to the facility to be licensed. The inspection officers ensure that the firefighting and alarm systems available in the facility and site are appropriate for the nature of the works proposed in the occupational license. If it is found that the firefighting and alarm systems in the facility and site comply with the requirements of the code and according to the nature of the works, inspection officers shall make the placement with approval.
If it is found that there are deficiencies, a rejection will be made based on observations documented in the inspection report about the deficiencies in the facility and the available systems. The inspection officers conduct a follow-up examination to ensure that the concerned party addresses the deficiencies identified by the inspection officers.
Based on the recommendation of the inspection officers, and after addressing the deficiencies, Civil Defense approval is provided for the competent authority to issue occupational licenses. This competent authority is the Greater Amman Municipality or the municipalities.
These inspections are usually carried out by general inspection officers, but in cases where necessary, specialists in the fields of electricity and mechanics are used to inspect alarm and extinguishing devices, except in cases related to gas and fuels.
