North Amman Police Directorate

• On September 8, 2005, the North Amman Police Directorate was established to achieve the public interest and serve the citizens in solving their cases and providing them with the easiest and best service. the location of the directorate is of a special nature due to it is close to some of the vital facilities like the Jordan Armed Forces HQ, the General Intelligence Department, the Ministry of Health, a number of public security departments, a number of public and private universities, as well as a number of major shopping malls and some picnic spots.

It has (7)police stations, namely:

• Al-Hashemi police station.
  Shafa Badran police station.
  Sweileh police station.
  Tlaa Al-Ali police station.
  Abu Nseir police station.
  Al-Rasheed police station.
  Tariq police station.

Among the duties of the north Amman Police Directorate are the implementation of all orders and instructions issued by the Regional Security Command, the provision of distinguished police services to service recipients, the development of police and security action plans from which executive plans for prevention and combating crime emerge, the periodic evaluation of the police and security action plans and the necessary amendments in their regard. Strengthening the system of knowledge, communication, creativity and innovation in individual and institutional work, optimal use of available human and material resources, guidance and supervision of all attached Public Security units, strengthening partnership and cooperation with security agencies and official institutions, and maintaining communication, cooperation and social responsibility roles with service recipients and the local community.
