In 1930, Rum, Al Mudawara, and Al Jafr Badia sections were formed, and it was called the police station, and its name was changed in 1967 to become the Southern Badia region, and in 2004 it was renamed to become the Southern Badia Police Department which belongs to the command of the Southern Badia region. In 2017, it was restructured to become the Southern Badia Police Directorate followed to the Royal Badia Police Command.
The Southern Badia Police Directorate has five police stations:
- Rum Badia police station was established in 1930.
- Al Mudawara police station was established in 1930.
- Al-Jafr police station was established in 1930 and has a number of security points followed to it, namely (Mashash Hadraj Badia police point, Annab Badia police point, Tuba Badia police point).
- Al-Shidiyah police station was modernized from category (A) point to an integrated police station of category (B) on 25/1/2021.
- Bayer police station was established as a category (B) police station on 25/1/2021 and was named as an integrated police station in order to achieve the vision of His Majesty the King in the policy of merging the components of the security agencies (police, gendarmerie and civil defense).
- The Emergency Unit of the Southern Badia Police Directorate, which consists of one company called the Al-Jafr Emergency Company.
