Karak Police Directorate

In 1922, Karak Police Directorate was established, and in 2016 it was transferred to its new location in the Al-Manshia area.

The command’s AOR gains importance in terms of tourism, due to the presence of many tourist and archaeological sites such as Al-Karak Castle, Al-Qatraneh Castle, and the shrines of the Companions, which are frequented by visitors and tourists from various regions. The governorate also contains many important facilities such as the Arab Potash Company and the city of Prince Al-Hussein Ibn Abdullah II Industrial and Mutah University (military wing and civil wing).
Among the duties of Karak Police Directorate are the implementation of all orders and instructions issued by the Regional Security Command, the provision of distinguished police services to service recipients, the development of police and security action plans from which executive plans for prevention and combating crime, the periodic evaluation of the police and security action plans and making the necessary amendments in their regard, Strengthening the system of knowledge, communication, creativity and innovation in individual and institutional work, the optimal use of available human and material resources, guidance and supervision of all attached Public Security units, strengthening partnership and cooperation with security agencies and official institutions, and maintaining communication, cooperation and social responsibility roles with service recipients and the local community.
