PSD spokesman said that a report was received this morning that a fire broke out in an  apartment in a residential building in Madaba governorate, Fire and rescue teams dispatched the location in response time of no more than six minutes, began dealing with the fire.

PSD spokesman confirmed that upon civil defense arrival and starting the firefighting operations, they found that there were three children still inside the apartment, as firefighters and rescuers entered the apartment and evacuated the children without suffering any significant injury except for shortness of breath, as a result of which they were transferred to the hospital for treatment.

The spokesman added that one of the firefighters also suffered from shortness of breath after, during the process of entering the apartment, he gave his oxygen mask to one of the stuck children, who was suffering from difficulty breathing as a result of the gases and smokes emanating from the fire. He was also taken to the hospital and is in good condition. The fire was extinguished and an investigation was opened to determine the cause of the fire.
