In continuation of the activities of the campaign “With Our Consciousness.. We Protect Generations” launched by the Public Security Directorate to raise awareness of the dangers of the drug scourge, the Antinarcotics Department organized today a seminar entitled “Women’s Pivotal Role in Family and Community Awareness”, in the presence of the Assistant Director of Public Security for Operations and Training Brigadier General Anwar Tarawneh and the Secretary General of the Jordanian National Committee for woman Affairs, Dr. Maha Ali.
The organizing of this seminar comes as a confirmation of the Royal directives to confront drug-dealing, and within the efforts of the Public Security Directorate to develop its strategic, operational and awareness plans in the field of drug control.
Antinarcotics department is keen to strengthen the continuous partnership with the official and private local community institutions in its various segments in the field of awareness of the scourge of drugs, especially women, as they are a fundamental factor in society and the corner stone in building the family, and they have an effective role in spreading intellectual and cultural awareness in our society.
The seminar, which was attended by a number of women members of the House of Representatives and representatives of the women’s sector in the local community institutions, included a number of discussions, dialogues and working papers centered on a set of educational and social foundations on which women rely, enabling them to optimally educate their families.
