Since the beginning of September, Anti-narcotics department has dealt with 14 specific cases during which 24 drug traffickers were arrested.

Among those arrested are classified as dangerous, wanted persons and drug traffickers who pose a danger to society.

PSD spokesman said that the Anti-Narcotics Department continued the intensive operations to deal all forms of drug dealing. Since the beginning of September, 14 specific cases have been dealt with in various governorates and regions of the Kingdom, during which 24 drug dealers and traffickers were arrested.

The most prominent of these cases was in Aqaba Governorate, a drug dealer was raided inside a tent he had built to store and sell drugs in one of the governorate’s unpopulated areas, 15,000 narcotic pills, 17 packages of hashish, and an automatic firearm were seized inside the tent.

In the Capital Governorate, three cases were dealt with. In the first, four suspects were arrested (two of whom were wanted for previous drug cases) inside an apartment used for promotion and storage purposes, and package of hashish and 600 narcotic pills were seized. In the other two cases, two dealers were arrested, the first of whom was found in possession On 7 packages of hashish, the second case,  6 packages of hashish and a quantity of narcotic pills were seized.

In the northern desert, a raid was conducted against one of the most dangerous drug dealers, who was arrested and 4,000 narcotic pills and 30 packages of hashish were found in his possession. Meanwhile, in one of the areas of the central desert, the location of one of the most dangerous wanted persons in drug cases was identified, and he was raided and arrested, accompanied by one of the dealers.

In Ma'an Governorate, after tough resistance in which a drug trafficker, who was wanted on six drug cases, used a firearm, the security force was able to control him and seize the firearm used.

In Irbid Governorate, two cases of drug dealers were dealt with. In the first, a dealer was arrested in possession of half kilogram of crystal narcotic drugs, 1,000 narcotic pills, and half a kilogram of hashish, while 3 packages of hashish and a quantity of narcotic pills were seized after the other dealer was raided and arrested. .

In Balqa Governorate, one of the dealers was arrested in possession of 3 marijuana packages and a quantity of narcotic pills, while a security force located an active drug dealer in one of the areas of western Balqa, when he was raided, he showed strong resistance, using a firearm that he had in his possession, but the security force was able to deal and control him. it was found in his possession of 3,000 narcotic pills, 4.5 packages of hashish, and the firearm used.

In the Rusaifa /  Zarqa Governorate, three drug dealers were arrested inside an apartment, and they were arrested with 1,500 narcotic pills and 5 hashish packages in their possession .

In Ramtha, a special security operation was carried out on a number of people wanted in drug cases (trafficking, promoting and smuggling). The operation led to the arrest of five of them, and some of them were seized in possession of quantities of narcotic substances.
