Anti-Narcotics Department arrested 177 drug dealers in 93 cases of trafficking and promotion of narcotic substances, and the seizure of various and large quantities of narcotic substances.

Implementation of 50 awareness activities in different regions of the Kingdom.

PSD spokesman said that the staff of the Anti-Narcotics Department are continuing their qualitative operations to pursue all forms of dealing with narcotic substances, smuggling, trafficking and promotion.

  The spokesman confirmed that during this week, from 12/22/2022 to 12/28/2022, 93 cases of trafficking and promotion of narcotic substances and smuggling were dealt with, during which 177 dealers and promoters of these substances were arrested, including persons classified as dangerous, and they were all referred to the Prosecutor General of the State Security Court.

During these cases, 22 kg of narcotic hashish, 6 million and 80 thousand pills of Captagon narcotic pills, 1000 narcotic pills, 3 kilograms and 700 grams of narcotic industrial cannabis powder, 300 grams of narcotic crystal were seized in addition to Seedlings of marijuana and a collection of firearms.

On the therapeutic level, the number of admissions to the drug addiction treatment center this week reached 10 cases, between admissions and referrals.

In the same context,  through the awareness side, 50 awareness activities for this week were implemented, which included a number of lectures, workshops and seminars, in partnership with the relevant authorities and partners.
