PSD spokesman for the Public Security Directorate said that the workers in the Anti-Narcotics Department are continuing their specific operations vigorously to deal all forms of narcotics , including trafficking, smuggling, promotion and abuse.

The spokesman confirmed that during the past month, from March 1, 2023 until March 31, 2023, 524 cases of trafficking and promotion of narcotic substances were dealt with, during which 931 dealers and promoters of these substances were arrested, including people classified as dangerous, and they were all referred to the State Security Court.

The spokesman stated that during these cases (133) kilograms of hashish, (half a million) pills of narcotic Captagon, (40) thousand pills of narcotic pills, (3 and a half kilograms) of narcotic crystal and (400) were seized. (1/2 kilo) of narcotic industrial cannabis, (300 grams) of narcotic cocaine, a set of marijuana seedlings and a set of firearms.

At the awareness level, the department at the awareness side implemented 829 educational activities for the month of March, which included a number of courses, lectures, workshops and seminars in partnership with academic and media agencies and relevant partners.

In the same context, the number of admissions to the treatment center reached up to 65 cases, between admissions and references.

The spokesman stressed that anti-narcotics operations and security crackdowns are continuing in all regions of the Kingdom firmly.
