1,050 suspects were arrested in 585 cases of drug trafficking and promotion during the month of September

In the details, PSD spokesman said that the Anti-Narcotics Department continues in its operations to deal with all forms of narcotic substances in the Kingdom.
The spokesman confirmed that during the month of September, from September 1, 2023, until September 30, 2023, 585 cases of drug trafficking and promotion were dealt with, during which 1,050 suspects, including dealers and promoters, were arrested, and wanted persons classified as dangerous, and all of them were referred to the prosecutor General at the State Security Court.
PSD spokesman stated that during these cases (142) kg of hashish, one million (44) thousand narcotic Captagon pills, (6) thousand narcotic pills, (12 kg) of crystal narcotic substance, and 2 and a half kg were seized in addition to the narcotic marijuana, (18 kilograms) grams of the narcotic synthetic hashish, (800 grams) of the narcotic synthetic hashish powder, (13) kg and 250 grams of the narcotic cocaine, and a set of firearms.
On the awareness level, the Anti-Narcotics department, through the Awareness and Education dimensions, implemented 750 awareness-raising activities for the month of September, which included a number of courses and lectures, workshops and seminars in partnership with academic and media bodies and relevant partners.
In the same context, the number of admissions to the AND Addiction Treatment Center for the month of September reached 63 cases, including admissions and referrals.
