Anti-Narcotics Department arrested 191 drug-dealers in 115 cases of trafficking and promotion of narcotic substances, and the seizure of various and large quantities of narcotic substances.

Implementation of 49 awareness activities in different regions of the Kingdom.

PSD spokesman said that the personnel in the Anti-Narcotics Department are continuing their specific operations to deal with all forms narcotic activities, under strict directives from the police commanders.

The spokesman confirmed that during this week, from 12/15/2022 to 12/21/2022, 115 cases of trafficking and promotion of narcotic substances were dealt with, during which 191 dealers and promoters of these substances were arrested, including people classified as dangerous, and they were all referred to a prosecutor General at State Security Court.

During these cases, 12 kg of narcotic hashish, 242,000 thousand of narcotic Captagon pills, 500 narcotic pills, 1,300 kilograms (one kilo and 300 grams) of the deadly narcotic cocaine, 200 grams of narcotic crystal and a group of seedlings of Marijuana and a collection of firearms.

On the therapeutic level, the number of admissions to the drug addiction treatment center this week reached to 13 cases, between admissions and referrals.

In the same context, through the awareness dimension, AND implemented 49 awareness activities for this week, which included a number of lectures, workshops and seminars, in partnership with the relevant authorities and partners.

PSD spokesman stressed that anti-narcotics operations are continuing in all regions of the Kingdom firmly.
