Anti- Cybercrimes Unit warned of fake links that belong to ministries and government institutions, and messages asking citizens to enter these links, fill out personal data, and attach documents to obtain assistance.
the unit indicated in a post on its official page, that these links, after obtaining the data, ask the victim to send a sum of money in order to complete the transaction and obtain support so that the person dealing with these links falls victim to electronic financial fraud.
The unit explained that these links were traced and their source determined, and it was found that they originated through servers outside the country, and the necessary measures were taken to stop working with them inside the Kingdom.
The unit called on citizens not to deal with such links, and not to send any information of a personal nature on unknown websites, noting that the electronic services provided by government agencies have become known to everyone and are shown on their official websites, with an emphasis on not publishing any electronic links.
