PSD spokesman said that the Anti-Cybercrime Unit in the Criminal Investigation Department is following up a number of misleading recordings that were published by people who caused panic among citizens and spread incorrect information and false claims about the occurrence of disasters and earthquakes, which is not related to the truth or to science.

The spokesman stressed that the unit is working to identify the owners of these recordings and those seeking to promote them in order to arrest them and refer them to the judiciary.

The spokesman confirmed that the concerned authorities did not and will not hesitate to publish any warnings or alerts that concern citizens, calling on everyone not to share such false allegations or contribute to their publication, under penalty of legal accountability.
