The Anti-Narcotics Department arrested 195 drug-dealers in 109 cases of trafficking and promotion of narcotic substances, and the seizure of various and large quantities of narcotic substances.

PSD spokesman said that Anti-Narcotics Department are continuing the specific operations to deal with all forms of narcotic activities, under strict directives from the security leaders.
The spokesman confirmed that during this week, from January 26, 2023 until February 1, 2023, 109 cases of trafficking and promotion of narcotic substances were dealt with, during which 195 dealers and promoters of these substances were arrested, including suspects classified as dangerous, and they were all referred to the prosecutor of the State Security Court.
The spokesman stated that during these cases, 77 packages of hashish were seized, 481,727 thousand pills of Captagon, 1500 pills of narcotic pills, 1 kilo and 610 grams of crystal narcotics, 2 kilograms and 500 grams of cocaine, and 1 kilo and 200 grams of industrial cannabis powder, 500 grams of narcotic marijuana, a group of planted seedlings of marijuana, and a group of firearms.
On the therapeutic level, the number of admissions to the drug addiction treatment center reached to 27 cases, between admissions and referrals.
In the same context, the department, through the awareness dimension, implemented 46 awareness activities this week included a number of lectures, workshops and seminars, in partnership with the relevant authorities and partners.
The spokesman stressed that anti-narcotics operations and security crackdowns are continuing in all regions of the Kingdom firmly.
