PSD spokesman said that Anti-Narcotics Department continues the specific operations vigorously to against all forms of dealing with narcotic substances, under strict directives from the security commander.

The spokesman confirmed that during this week, January 12, 2023 until January 18, 2023, 126 cases of trafficking and promotion of narcotic substances were dealt with, during which 218 dealers and promoters of these substances were arrested, including persons classified as dangerous, and they were all referred to the Prosecutor General of the State Security Court.

During these cases, 50 kg of narcotic hashish, 400,000 pills of Captagon, 3,000 pills of narcotic pills, 500 grams of narcotic crystal, a group of marijuana seedlings and a group of firearms were seized.

On the therapeutic level, the number of admissions to the drug addiction treatment center this week reached 12 cases, between admissions and references.

In the same context anti-narcotics through the awareness role, implemented 68 awareness activities for this week, which included a number of lectures, workshops and seminars, in partnership with the relevant authorities and partners.
