Director of Public Security Major Gen. Abeidallah Maaitah today inaugurated the Leadership Academy building at the Royal Police Academy, in the presence of the British Ambassador to Jordan Bridget Brind.
Maj. Gen. Abeidallah Maaitah stressed the importance of strengthening training structures and facilities capable of providing an appropriate environment for transferring science and knowledge and imparting security and police skills, indicating that the Leadership Academy represents a promising training facility that is added to the ancient public security edifices, and includes the means, systems and capabilities that make it a distinguished pioneering institute on regional and international level.
The Director of Public Security indicated that the opening of the academy building comes within the framework of the process of modernization and development pursued by the Public Security Directorate, in its various formations and units, which will reflect positively on improving the efficiency of security work, and improving the level of services provided to citizens.
The Director of Public Security added that the next stage will witness great interest in building human capabilities to ensure professionalism and competence in carrying out tasks and duties, according to plans and strategies that include training plans that simulate needs and specializations.
For her part, Ambassador Bridget Brid expressed her pride in the solid cooperation relations between the police forces in Jordan and Britain, especially in the field of training and exchange of experiences, stressing her country's keenness to benefit from and continue these relations in order to develop and modernize the security services provided to the community.
The new building of the Academy includes halls equipped with modern training equipment and means, halls for holding conferences, courses and workshops according to the highest standards, and administrative and office facilities that serve the educational and training process, and are able to provide distance education technology with advanced technologies
