Today, the Director of Public Security, Major General AbeidAllah Maaitah, visited the Aqaba Police Directorate and the Aqaba Gendarmerie Command, during an inspection tour that he is carrying out and includes a number of units and formations in the regions of the Kingdom.

Major General Al-Maaitah was briefed on the most prominent efforts made and humanitarian and security services provided to citizens during Eid Al-Fitr, especially in light of the high numbers of visitors and tourists who went to Aqaba to spend the Eid holiday.

The Director of Public Security stressed the need to continue making all possible efforts to provide the best security and humanitarian services, in order to ensure the security and safety to citizens, and to provide them with a safe environment during this period.

During the inspection tour, Major General Al-Maaitah also visited the Aqaba Correction and Rehabilitation Center and met the center's personnel , as well as the families of a number of inmates.

It is noteworthy that the Public Security Directorate opened the doors for visits to the inmates' families during the Eid days in all correction and rehabilitation centers.
