PSD spokesman for the Public Security Directorate said that a report was received by the North Amman Police Directorate and Criminal Investigation this morning that two unknown persons entered a restaurant located to north of the capital and stole 5,000 dinars under threat of a firearm and fled the place.

The spokesman confirmed that an investigation team from the Criminal Investigation Department and North Amman Police followed up and collected information from the crime scene , in  a record time of no more than a few hours, CID were able to identify the perpetrators of the crime, raid them, arrest them, and seize in their possession part of the stolen amount, the firearm used, the vehicle used.

The  investigation is still underway with them in preparation for their referral to the judiciary.
