highway patrols department : A citizen's vehicle was stopped safely after he was unable to stop it due to a mechanical defect. All means of assistance were provided to get it out of the capital, Amman, to the desert road in which the vehicle was followed by traffic, highway patrol , and civil defense, in order to preserve the driver’s life.
operations officer of the highway patrols department explained during the daily traffic report on Public Security Radio that as soon as the Operations and Control Room 911 received a call from a citizen stating that while he was driving his vehicle in the Naour Bridge area, he was unable to stop it due to a mechanical defect, the citizen added that he was immediately headed to the airport road, in coordination with the cadres of the Traffic Departments, the vehicle was driven to an open road in which the traffic patrols remove any objects affecting the flow of traffic in order to preserve the citizen’s life.
The Operations Officer stated that, during that, the vehicle’s manufacturer was contacted in order to obtain technical advice about the possibility of stopping it in a safe place, but after driving for a distance of about 50 km, things returned to normal in the Zumaila area, and the vehicle was stopped normally without any significant damage.
Immediately, the civil defense cadres provided him with first aid at the site, as he was suffering from exhaustion and a state of great fear.
