His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of Jordan Armed Forces, visited today, Wednesday, the command of the Gendarmerie Forces, and was briefed on the level of readiness and implementation of its duties in order to provide the best security service.
His Majesty praised the level reached by the Gendarmerie and the outstanding performance of its staff-members in their response to all security and humanitarian operational duties, expressing his confidence and pride in the personnel of the Public Security Directorate, with all their ranks and positions, and their role in preserving the homeland's security and stability.
His Majesty the King, in the presence of Public Security Director, Major General Dr. AbeidAllah Maaitah, was briefed by Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Ashraf Al-Omari on the plans and procedures followed in the Gendarmerie Forces to develop and improve the performance and capabilities of its members.
For his part, Major General Al-Maaitah confirmed that Public Security Directorate is continuing to implement the Royal directives in developing security and police work and enhancing the efficiency of coordination to raise the levels of work of its formations.
During the visit, His Majesty the Supreme Commander observed a number of advanced vehicles and equipment used in the Public Security Directorate, which have recently operating in PSD.
His Majesty was also briefed by Brigadier General Muhannad Al-Batayneh, Director of the Communications and Information Technology Department, about the two latest vehicles that entered field service.
The two vehicles are the Field Mobile Operations Vehicle, which is equipped with operations, communication and drone systems, and the Mobile Command and Control Operations Vehicle, which is equipped with communications systems, and which operates as a mobile command and control center (911).
