Public Security Director, Major General Dr. AbeidAllah Maaitah, on behalf of the entire Public Security personnel, congratulated His Majesty, the Supreme Commander, King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, on the occasion of His sixty-second birthday, noting that this occasion, which is dear to the hearts of all Jordanians, constitutes motivation for us in the Public Security Directorate to do more work and achievement in the service of the country and its people.
During his visit today to the Operations and Control Directorate, Major General Al-Maaitah conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the Supreme Commander to all public security personnel, and the continuous support and great confidence that the Public Security enjoys by His Majesty, which requires moving forward in performing our security and humanitarian duties and roles in professional and participatory frameworks with various national institutions in the Kingdom.
Major General Al-Maaitah confirmed that Operations and Control Directorate is the first responder to receive citizens’ reports on the unified emergency number (911), indicating that during the past year the directorate received (6) million calls resulting in two million reports, around the clock, which requires continuing to provide all services to citizens and residents of the Kingdom, in coordination with all Public Security units and formations.
The Director of Public Security stressed the need to maintain the quality of work, build on the achievements and excellence achieved, and continue to expand qualitative projects and introduce modern technological systems and contribute to improving and improving the service provided to citizens.
Major General Al-Maaitah expressed the continued PSD keenness to provide the Directorate of Operations and Control with all the manpower, equipment, systems, and technical and technological support it needs, in order to continue improving the means of effective communication with members of society in various circumstances and conditions, and to ensure rapid response and immediate dealing with incidents of all types.
During the visit, the Director of Public Security was briefed by the Director of the Directorate of Operations and Control, during which he explained the most prominent operational statistics, future development plans and programs: including the Field Duties Unit .
