Major General Al-Maaitah praises the efforts of the Criminal Investigation Department and directs to provide qualified technical and human capabilities, which will reflect positively on the levels of crime prevention.

Major General Al-Maaitah stresses the importance of studying behavioral patterns and criminal manifestations, identifying their causes, and keeping abreast of changes that may be accompanied by a development in the form and methods of crime.

Developing the cybercrime unit in light of the increasing in dealing with electronic transactions and educating citizens and protecting them from falling victim to this type of crime.

Director of Public Security Major General AbeidAllah Maaitah said that combating crime in all its forms is the basis of police and security work, and the main goal of our security strategy, which is based on protecting lives and property and enhancing community security.

Major General Al-Maaitah emphasized the role of criminal investigation in enforcing the rule of law with justice to prevent crime, provide a safe environment for development and investment, and ensure that citizens practices  their rights and freedoms.

This came during a visit today to the Criminal Investigation Department, during which public security director met with a number of the personnel, and was briefed on its workflow and the measures and procedures taken to ensure the provision of the best services to citizens with efficiency and high capacity, and in a framework of transparency and respect for human rights.

The Director of Public Security praised the performance of the Criminal Investigation Department and its personnel , directing all capabilities to be employed to support the Department and provide it with technical and human capabilities, as well as specialized academic and practical qualifications, in a way that reflects positively on the levels of crime prevention.

Major General Al-Maaitah stressed the need to follow the best ways of raising awareness and education in society and activating crime prevention tools, especially in new crimes, indicating to the importance of developing the cybercrime unit in light of the increase in electronic transactions and educating citizens and protecting them from falling vulnerable to this type of crime.

The Director of Public Security stressed the need to deal firmly and without complacency with all forms of crime, especially crimes that threaten the safety of citizens and the stability of society, and not to allow their recurrence, especially the crimes of bullying, thefts in all their forms, and other crimes that affect the security of the citizen.

The Director of Public Security was briefed  by the Director of Criminal Investigation, in which he explained the most important statistics related to the criminal situation, the most prominent plans and future aspirations for combating and preventing crime, prosecuting the perpetrators and bringing them to justice.
