Mass Media and Community Policing Directorate made a great awareness and educational efforts during the year 2022, especially what came in response to the wise Royal directives in the dimensions of drug prevention, traffic awareness, cybercrime, crime prevention or natural and industrial risks, among others.
In terms of security media, the Directorate played an important role in showing the efforts of the Public Security Directorate in a professional media manner, in addition to its role in preventing rumors by publishing facts and providing the correct security information in a timely manner.
The directorate’s digital pages interacted during the year with the public indicating to the value of live interaction between a security institution that carries a human value equivalent to its security role, and an audience that searches for truth, credibility and trust, and does not forget its share of appreciating the efforts of Public Security personnel and communicating with them through the virtual world as a bridge of trust.
The media report prepared by Public Security Radio indicated that Mass media and community policing directorate launched, during the year 2022, about 33 community initiatives at the level of the Kingdom, in cooperation with local security councils, which included other sub-initiatives, and nearly 5,000 awareness lectures as part of campaigns to reduce traffic accidents and the spread of the drug scourge, while other 16 traffic gardens were opened in various governorates of the Kingdom in cooperation with the Jordan Traffic Institute and the Traffic Department.
Meanwhile, blood banks were supplied with nearly 3,000 blood units through the implementation of 53 donation campaigns with the participation of various Public Security Directorate formations, as well as campaigns that came to meet emergency needs at different times.
The report indicated that the directorate carried out 18 awareness days in various private and public Jordanian universities, to reduce traffic accidents, the spread of drug and cybercrime scourge, and societal peace, in cooperation with specialized public security departments, and presented 172 theatrical works through police theater cadres in various educational institutions.
The Directorate also produced about 120 television episodes that showed various programs on local TV channels and Amen 911, in addition to 26 short introductory films, as well as thousands of educational, informative publications.
