Today, the Parliamentary Public Freedoms and Human Rights Committee visited Al-Sawaqa correction and Rehabilitation Center, to observe the most prominent efforts and services provided to inmates in all correctional, humanitarian and social fields.
This visit comes within the framework of the partnership between the Public Security Directorate and state institutions, to find out the reality of the services provided by the Department of Correction and Rehabilitation Centers in the field of correctional work, in a manner that guarantees the preservation of the rights of inmates, and provides them with the necessary human care.
During the visit, the chairman of the committee, MP Bassam Al-Fayez, referred to the good international standing and reputation that Jordan enjoys in the field of public freedoms and human rights, stressing that the rehabilitation centers in the Kingdom have won international respect.
