The Parliamentary Public Freedoms and Human Rights Committee visited the Juwaida Correction and Rehabilitation Center to see the status of the center, the services provided to inmates, and the most prominent reform programs.
During the visit, the committee was briefed on the correctional programs in the center and the extent of their application within the reform strategy aimed at helping and rehabilitating the inmates so that they become active and influential members of society.
The Director of Correction and Rehabilitation Centers Department, Brigadier General Falah Al-Majali, presented the most prominent rehabilitation and correctional programs in force within the center and the service facilities within it, which help inmates to rehabilitate for reintegration into society and to avoid criminal behavior.
After a tour of the center's facilities, the members of the committee appreciated the efforts made by the workers inside the centers to translate the reform policy into a tangible reality witnessed by everyone, which affects the inmates in a positive way and provides them with care that preserves their humanity and corrects their path, which helps them to continue their lives after the end of their sentence.
