Pursuant to the directives of  Public Security Director, Maj. Gen. Hussein Al-Hawatmeh, PSD launched the national campaign to protect the environment "Our Environment.. Our Lung", which came in implementation of the Royal  Visions of  His Majesty King Abdullah II, The Supreme Commander of Jordan Armed Forces, aimed at preserving environmental wealth and enhancing its sustainability, by promoting positive practices to the environment and the tourist sites.

Deputizing for Maj. Gen. Al-Hawatmeh, the Assistant for Management and Logistic Support, Brig. Gen. Mu’tasem Abu Shttal, launched this campaign within the framework of the Public Security Project for Greening, which came to celebrate the country's centenary.

Brig. Gen. Abu Shttal stated that this campaign is being organized in cooperation with various ministries and relevant institutions, indicating that thousands of citizens contributed at supporting it in all governorates of the Kingdom.

During the celebration of the Arab Environment WeekPSD celebrated the opening of the garden inside the directorate’s building, which is one of the national projects that the Public Security Directorate is working to implement with the aim of consolidating the idea of preserving the environmental components that are related to the Jordan nature and enhancing its sustainability in light of modern challenges and various environmental changes.
