The Director of Public Security, Major General Dr. AbeidAllah Maaitah, and the Mayor of Amman, Dr. Youssef Al-Shawarbeh, signed today in the directorate building a memorandum of understanding to enhance means of strategic cooperation in various fields.

Major General Al- Maaitah stressed the importance of the extended cooperation between the Public Security Directorate and the Amman Municipality to improve the quality of security and community services provided to citizens and residents in a way that contributes to their sustainability in accordance with best practices.

Public Security Director said that the Directorate’s continuous endeavor to exchange various experiences in a way that suits the needs of society, in cooperation with various official and private bodies and institutions, especially the Municipality of Amman, to embody more practical developmental steps within frameworks of national efforts aimed at sustaining a better life for citizens.

In turn, Youssef Al- Shawarbeh indicated that the memorandum comes as an extension of the series of cooperative efforts implemented between the two sides with the aim of improving the quality of services provided to citizens and in accordance with the translation of the Royal visions and directives regarding the need for all state institutions to join forces in this field, appreciating the role of the Public Security Directorate in strengthening the security system, preserving national capabilities and improving The quality of public services provided in the Kingdom within an effective participatory approach.
