He stressed that during the past 24 hours, a number of raids and security crackdowns were carried out in the Ramtha and the governorates of Irbid and Zarqa, which led to the arrest of 11 drug dealers in possession of large quantities of narcotics.
In the first specific case, the spokesman said that in the Ramtha, after monitoring and following up one of the most active drug traffickers there and receiving intelligence information that he had prepared an explosive device and placed it inside his house the suspect was raided by the anti-narcotics men, a security plan was drawn up to lure him and raid him inside his vehicle.
He stressed that the security force managed, through the plan, to lure him out of the house, raid him inside his vehicle, and arrest him after he resisted the security force and tried to use a firearm he had.
The spokesman added that he was immediately moved to his house, and a search was made of the improvised explosive device, which was dealt with by specialists. Inside the house, 1 kg of industrial cannabis, quantities of narcotic pills and another firearm were found inside the house.
In Zarqa Governorate, the spokesman said that a security crackdown was implemented in a number of areas of the province to arrest a group of drug dealers, who were confirmed by intelligence information for their criminal activity.
He indicated that during the crackdown operation, nine drug traffickers and wanted persons were raided and arrested, and each of them was found in possession of separate quantities of narcotic substances intended for sale and promotion.
In Irbid governorate, PSD spokesman confirmed that a security force raided the house of a drug dealer, and that person, upon seeing the force, used a firearm he had in his possession, but he was controlled and arrested, and the firearm was seized, and inside his house, 4000 narcotic pills and a handful of cannabis were found. .
