Public Security: Our ultimate goal is to preserve the lives of citizens, and we work for that day and night, and some do not take the instructions seriously despite the constant warnings.

We hope that everyone cooperates with the police men in the field, and adhere to the instructions that are simple but provide protection and prevention, and our readiness continues in all circumstances and times.

Public Security Directorate stressed the need to adhere to the instructions and warnings issued by the competent authorities, aimed at preventing and protecting citizens and preserving lives and property.

The Directorate indicated that it had dealt with a number of incidents, the most important of which was the dealing of civil defense cadres with a bus carrying 22 passengers that got stuck in the torrents, and managed to get them out safely, in addition to rescuing four people whose vehicles were stuck in the torrents and they were evacuated to safe places, and the civil defense cadres evacuated 8 families from the residents of the tents were surrounded by water in Madaba, in addition to evacuating and assisting people in different areas in the governorates of Ma'an and Aqaba.

PSD indicated that in light of the current weather conditions, the Directorate had warned in the last hours and days and for several times and through various media and social networking sites, and had launched a number of instructions, which raised the level of awareness among most citizens, and constituted an element of protection for them, their families and others.

The Directorate indicated that it has repeatedly emphasized several points, the most important of which is not to risk crossing water and torrential areas wither in vehicles or on foot, in addition to the necessity of safe use of heating devices of all kinds, and not leaving them on during sleep, and ventilating houses from time to time. Some did not take these instructions seriously, which endangered their lives and the lives of others.

Public Security Directorate added: “Our ultimate goal is to preserve the lives of citizens, and we work for that day and night, and we hope that everyone cooperates with the security men in the field, and adhere to the instructions that are simple but provide protection and prevention, stressing the readiness of the Public Security Directorate around the clock to serve all Jordanians and residents and extend a helping hand and assistance to them, in all circumstances and times”.
