The Director of Public Security, Major General AbeidAllah Maaitah, visited the Northern Regional Security Command today, where he was briefed on the most prominent efforts and duties undertaken by the command and the most prominent criminal and traffic statistics in the region.
Major General Al- Maaitah conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the Supreme Commander, King Abdullah II, to all members of the regional command, praising the efforts they are making and the services provided to citizens of various formations and units according to collective work systems.
Public Security Director confirmed that we are continuing our fight against the scourge of drugs and its dealers and promoters to protect society from its dangerous negative effects .
Major. General Al Maaitah passed orders to all police directorates, within the Northern Region, whose AOR on the border areas, to continue working, coordinating and supporting all efforts made by the Jordan Armed Forces - the Arab Army, around the clock along the border sector to prevent and combat all forms of smuggling narcotics.
The director indicated to the implementation Royal directives, to improve and modernize the security and police work systems and services provided through the various public security departments and units.
Major General Al-Maaitah stressed the need to develop the concepts of community policing and permanent communication with local communities through police directorates and police stations that enhance partnership with citizens as an integral part of the security process.
The Director of Public Security was briefed by the Northern Region Security Commander, during which the commander highlighted the most important plans, efforts made, and work statistics in the police directorates, police stations and other units.
