Major General Al-Maaitah: We continue to provide support to the Anti-Narcotics Department, and our fight against this scourge continues to protect society
** Al-Maaitah orders the establishment of a regional training center followed to the Anti-Narcotics Department
The Director of Public Security, Major General Dr. AbeidAllah Maaitah, conveyed the pride of His Majesty, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, King Abdullah II, to the personnel of the Anti-Narcotics Department for their continuous efforts and achievements during the past few days in combating the scourge of drugs and protecting society and surrounding countries from it.
Major General Al-Maaitah stressed during his visit today to the Anti-Narcotics Department, and his meeting with the Director of the Department and the personnel, that Public Security Directorate places the fight against drugs at the top of its priorities, develop the AND performance and provide it with all the human resources, equipment, or modern technologies, indicating to the partnership with the Jordan Armed Forces/Arab Army, and other security agencies.
Al-Maaitah added that our security campaigns against drug-dealing activities and dealers continue as we will strike their locations and not allow the death gangs to return again to threaten the security and safety of society.
The Director of Public Security ordered the establishment of a regional training center followed to the Anti-Narcotics Department; the center aims to expand the training system and build and enhance the capabilities of the Anti-Narcotics Department staff, in addition to opening the way for brotherly and friendly countries to benefit from experiences and exchange expertise in transferring modern security sciences and police sciences to combat drug dealing activities.
The Director of Public Security thanked the staff of Anti-Narcotics Department who perform their sacred duty with professionalism and steadfastness, around the clock, indicating to the expansion of the awareness role provided by the department to involve citizens in spreading the culture of rejecting drugs and denouncing anyone who deals with them.
The Director of Public Security was briefed by the Director of the Anti-Narcotics Department, in which he presented the most prominent work mechanisms and the most important duties undertaken by the department, crime statistics, their analysis, and future plans to develop the department's work and intensify its efforts.
