The sections started their work in correction and rehabilitation centers, police directorates, and departments: criminal investigation, Anti-narcotics , licensing department , traffic, and refugee affairs.

 Public Security Directorate affirms its keenness to consolidate the principles of transparency, human rights, respect for the rule of law, and to maintain communication with citizens.

Director of Public Security, Maj. Gen. AbeidAllah Maaitah, instructed the Police Judicial Directorate to create transparency and human rights sections  in units and departments that have direct contact with citizens, such as correction and rehabilitation centers, police directorates, and departments: criminal investigation, Anti-narcotics , drivers and vehicle licensing departments, traffic, and refugee affairs.

the Director indicated that the establishment  of these offices comes within the interest of the Public Security Directorate to maintain communication with citizens, and to enhance their confidence in public security personnel who were and will remain an example of discipline and professionalism, stressing the keenness of the Public Security Directorate to consolidate the principles of transparency, human rights, and respect for the rule of law, within the framework of justice and equality.

These offices will be headed by specialized judges from the Public Security, who enjoy complete independence from the units in which these offices are located, who will receive observations, complaints or any abuses, and submit them to the Public Security Judicial Directorate to take the necessary legal measures.

 The office and its divisions will also be entrusted with monitoring and inspection work on places of temporary detention (under custody facilities), as well as monitoring work inside correction  and rehabilitation centers.

 It is worth noting that Public Security Directorate has specialized on its website an icon for the Office of Transparency and Human Rights, to facilitate the communication of citizens through e-mail or the contact numbers shown on the website, in addition to the possibility of reviewing the office and its departments directly in the units and departments.
