Public Security Director, Major General Dr. AbeidAllah Maaitah, met in his office today the  Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ahmad Al-Hanandeh, to discuss the ways of joint cooperation between the two parties aimed at advancing the system of specialized and comprehensive services provided by the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department according to pioneering digital methods.

Al-Hanandeh said that Public Security Directorate is a model to be followed by all state institutions in its constant and diligent keenness to advance and develop its services provided to citizens and residents, especially with regard to the electronic service transformation that provides service recipients with the best services in the least possible effort and time.

The Minister  indicated that cooperation with the Public Security Directorate comes as part of the e-government and e-transformation program in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship to expand the electronic services within the comprehensive electronic services program, in which Public Security Directorate and the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department are an important part of that development and expanding the framework of services.

For his part, Major General Dr. Maaitah stressed that the Royal directives always emphasize facilitating and simplifying procedures to citizens as Public Security Directorate, through the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department, is keen to launch and develop a number of projects and services to meet the needs of citizens in all regions of the Kingdom.

 The Director of Public Security indicated to the joint cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship contributed significantly to raising the level of service provided, especially in light of the introduction of a large number of electronic services and the completion of the automation of all services provided by the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department.

During the meeting, the Director of the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department also presented a briefing in which he explained the latest electronic services that have been completed and made available electronically to citizens, in addition to the aspirations and future projects that the Licensing Department seeks to achieve from digitizing all licensing department services and electronic payment methods indicating to the  Licensing Department's insistence on working with the Ministry of Digital Economy to complete the digital transformation plan for the Licensing Department in line with the traffic strategy of the Public Security Directorate and the vision of modernizing the public sector.

It is worth noting that the both sides agreed to form a joint working committee from both sides to determine the projects that will be implemented between the two sides in a way that contributes to reducing the burden on citizens and providing the latest digital methods for providing services.
