The Director of Public Security, Major General Dr. Abeidallah Maaitah, met in his office today the Director of the Palestinian Civil Defense, Major General Al-Abd Ibrahim Khalil, and his accompanying delegation. The two parties discussed the cooperation and joint coordination in the security and civil protection fields, and the exchange of experiences.
Major General Al-Maaitah stressed the keenness of the Public Security Directorate to translate the Royal directives in providing all forms of support and assistance to the Palestinian Civil Defense, and the exchange of experiences, in a way that reflects positively on providing the best comprehensive security and humanitarian services to citizens.
For his part, the Director of the Palestinian Civil Defense praised the distinguished level of the Public Security Directorate in performing the duties and tasks in the field of humanitarian work and civil protection, stressing the importance of joint cooperation in building the capabilities of the Palestinian Civil Defense and its impact on the services provided.
In the same context, the Palestinian delegation continued the visit to the Jordan Civil Defense Directorate, and met with the director and senior officers as the delegation toured the Prince Hussein Ibn Abdullah II Academy for Civil Protection and the Civil Defense College, to observe the plans, curricula, and modern educational and training process that keep pace with the latest developments in civil defense and civil protection sciences.
The delegation also visited the civil defense training city, the headquarter of the international search and rescue team, the Directorate of Civil Defense in central Amman, the operations and control room, and a number of civil defense units specialized in providing civil and humanitarian protection services.
