The Director of Public Security, Major General AbeidAllah Maaitah, met in his office today the Bavarian police chief, Michel Schwald, and his accompanying delegation, in which the both sides discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the field of community peace and the development of practical experiences in combating extremism and terrorism.
Major General Al-Maaitah indicated to the importance of exchanging experiences between the two parties, in a way that reflects positively on developing security and police performance in all its fields, achieving justice, combating crime of all kinds and forms, especially the new ones.
For his part, the Bavarian police chief affirmed that the cooperation with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan extends for several years, indicating to his country's appreciation for Jordan's great role in promoting international peace and security.
On the other hand, the guest delegation visited the Community Peace Center to see the tasks and duties that the center operates in combating extremist ideology.
The guest delegation, in the presence of the German Ambassador to Amman, Bernhard Kampmann, also visited the building project of the new Community Peace Center, in confirmation of the importance of the role played by the center in combating negative phenomena that would affect community peace and security.
The German ambassador appreciated the cooperation between the German and Jordanian police agencies, stressing the great role provided by the Community Peace Center and the importance of its support to achieve the ambitious goals it seeks to preserve the security and peace of society.
