The Director of Public Security, Major General AbeidAllah Maaitah, patronized today, at the Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II Academy for Civil Protection, a scientific seminar entitled "Planning a Comprehensive Strategy for Crisis Management."
The seminar, which was attended by official bodies, experts and specialists, aimed to develop scientific and practical solutions that guarantee strengthening mechanisms for dealing with disasters and crises, coordinating national efforts in dealing with risks, and raising the efficiency of civil protection systems and public safety.
On the sidelines of the seminar, Major General Al Maaitah confirmed that Public Security Directorate is stepped up in implementing the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, aimed at providing a comprehensive civil protection system, in which optimal means of protection are available for citizens and residents, and it includes prevention, awareness and operational planning.
The Director of Public Security directed that the seminar should come out with recommendations that can be developed in the context of an integrated approach that meets the requirements of crisis management at the strategic level, and the subsequent implementation plans in which the roles of the concerned authorities are integrated, and within a clear pattern that takes into account the continued flow of security and humanitarian services in various circumstances and times.
The seminar included speeches, discussion sessions, specialized scientific dialogues, and working papers presented by representatives of the Academy, the Ministry of Interior, the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, and a number of researchers.
