The Director of Public Security, Maj. Gen. AbeidAllah Maaitah, stressed the provision of full support for the personnel of the Traffic Department in the field, and for all workers in the traffic departments, and the development of traffic procedures and services in a way that the citizen can touch.

Maj. Gen. Al-Maaitah stressed the need to move forward in implementing the traffic strategy aimed at promoting a safe traffic environment, and evaluating its plans and procedures, pointing to the need to study the traffic situation in detail, and develop the necessary solutions to reduce traffic jam.

the Director of Public Security passed orders to activate the partnership with the relevant ministries and institutions, in a way that enhances integration and coordination in roles and tasks,  and ensures the achievement of the supreme goal that we all aspire to preserve lives and property, and provide the best traffic services to citizens Pursuant of the wise Royal directives in this field.

The Director of Public Security indicated the need to maintain communication with society and citizens through a solid community partnership and renewed and continuous media awareness, in order to build a traffic culture that contributes to preserving lives and property.

He directed also to study the traffic situation in detail and develop the necessary solutions to reduce traffic jam, constantly review and evaluate traffic plans, and implement them according to the best means and capabilities, and in cooperation with the concerned authorities.

AL-Maaitah explained that Public Security Directorate will provide the necessary support to traffic department and provide them with human and logistical resources, and to enable them to update their systems and develop the procedures applied.

The Director of Public Security stressed the importance of implementing the traffic points system firmly and fairly, and implementing traffic plans in the response to dangerous violations that threaten the lives of road users.

Maj. Gen. Al-Maaitah toured the department’s main modern operations room and followed the work systems inside it, and the service office for serving and retired military service men in the main department building, which was established in implementation of the Royal directives to provide the best services to comrades in arms.

The Director of Public Security was briefed by the Director of the Traffic Department, in which he outlined the tasks and duties carried out by the Traffic Department in the various governorates of the Kingdom around the clock, and the mechanisms for enforcing the provisions of the traffic strategy aimed at reducing accidents and maintaining the flow of traffic as much as possible.
