PSD, the Ministry of Culture signed today, in the directorate’s HQ, a memorandum of understanding to strengthen partnership frameworks in the field of maintaining societal peace and spreading the concepts of dialogue, moderation, and tolerance.

The agreement was signed by Minister of Culture Haifa Al-Najjar and Director of Public Security, Major General Dr. AbeidAllah Maaitah.

The Minister of Culture stressed that work and cooperation with Public Security Directorate, through the Community Peace Center, contributes to protecting societies from the dangers of deviation and extremism, in addition to confronting everything that might affect the security of society, intellectually and behaviorally, emphasizing the necessity of directly translating the memorandum’s provisions into purposeful programs and events that reach all segments of Jordanian society, noting the Ministry’s keenness to enhance cooperation and permanent partnership with the Directorate in all fields, in a way that reflects positively on the interest of the nation and the citizen.

For his part, the Director of Public Security indicated that Public Security Directorate’s keenness to maintain bridges of cooperation and strategic partnership with various national institutions, both official and private, in the Kingdom, out of belief in the importance of their roles in raising the level of awareness of members of society, to confront negative practices that the Directorate spares no effort to deal with. with her.

Major General Dr. Al-Maaytah added that the Public Security Directorate continues its endeavor to enhance security and peace in society and spread intellectual and security awareness among young people, stressing that the signing of this agreement comes in the context of participatory efforts, through promising programs and projects aimed at exchanging knowledge and spreading cultureIt is noteworthy that the memorandum of understanding includes the implementation of programmes, projects and training workshops targeting youth and society through the Ministry’s directorates and centers spread throughout the Kingdom, to achieve societal peace and reach a society free of violence, hatred and extremism.
