Deputizing for the Director of Public Security, Maj. Gen. Hussein Al-Hawatmeh, the Inspector General, Brig. Anwar Al-Tarawneh, joined  the celebration held by the Civil Defense Directorate today on the occasion of the International Day of Civil Defense and Civil Protection, which falls on the first of March of each year.

This year’s celebration came under the title (civil protection and management of displaced population groups in times of natural disasters and crises, including the role of volunteers and combating the epidemic), to emphasize the need to combine all local, regional and international efforts, to remind the importance of giving refugees the utmost attention and care, and training volunteers in civil defense work. To be a companion to civil defense in all exceptional and unusual circumstances.

The ceremony, which was attended by a number of senior officers of Public Security Directorate, included a tour of the exhibition of mechanisms and equipment, and techniques of field work used in civil defense, as well as a documentary film on the development of civil defense and its active role in combating the Corona virus epidemic, and honoring a number of civil defense personnel.
