Public Security Directorate congratulated its boxers participating in the national team, after achieving their winnings in the first global completions for the Olympic Games (Paris 2024), which is currently being held in the Italian city of Busto Arsizio and has the participation of (602) male and female boxers, representing (113) teams.
The three national team champions succeeded for the round of 16 in their weight competitions after achieving distinguished and well-deserved victories.
Ziad Ashish achieved his second victory in the under-71 kg competition and in the round of 32 after he won the first round with the Filipino player “Ronald Chavez”.
In the round of 16, “Ashish” will face Cuban player “Jorge Cuellar” next Sunday.
For his part, the player "Uday Al-Hindawi" achieved his second victory against Mexican "Carlos Rodriguez" in the round of (32) in the under (92) kg competition.
On Saturday, Al-Hindawi will meet the Spanish player, Emmanuel Reyes, in the round of 16 of the competition.
Meanwhile, player Obada Al-Kasba succeeded in achieving an important and strong victory in his first fight in front of the Brazilian player, “Yuri Falcao,” for the 16th round of the 63.5 kg weight competition, setting up a match on Saturday with the Ugandan player, “Tokamohibwa Joshua.”
The Directorate expressed its thanks to the Jordanian Olympic Committee, headed by His Highness Prince Faisal Ibn Al Hussein, and the Jordanian Boxing Federation for the efforts made in qualifying the players and equipping them with the best levels, in an approach of continuous cooperation and partnership.
