Public Security Directorate followed up a video interview that was published on a media website and carried untrue information and exaggerations.
PSD spokesman confirmed in a statement today that the person concerned visited the Criminal Investigation Department, and reported that he was subjected to acts of assault by suspicious persons, in order to solve a financial issue in a case which was reported to the civil courts, and he did not request the prosecution against anyone.
Accordingly, coordination was made with the Public Prosecutor, and on the same date of the complaint, two persons were arrested, and later a third suspect was arrested, and they were duly referred to the competent judicial and administrative authorities.
PSD spokesman added that the Director of Criminal Investigation, a few days ago, met the complainant and passed orders to all the cadres responsible for the investigation to take the necessary measures to protect him and ensure the enforcement of law. This person was thanked the Criminal Investigation Director for their efforts and left without expressing any notice or grievance.
The Public Security Directorate confirms that it has taken all security and legal measures regarding this issue or others, and that it is continuing with these measures and its efforts to spread security and tranquility in society, within the framework of adherence to laws and legislation and respect for human rights, calling for accuracy in reporting or publishing news.
