Major General Al-Maaitah stresses the need for community solidarity to eliminate the phenomenon of gunshots and the negative manifestations that threaten the safety of individuals

Today, the Director of Public Security, Major General Dr. AbeidAllah Maaitah, stressed the need for community solidarity to eliminate all negative manifestations and abuses that threaten the security of society and the safety of its members, the most important of which is the phenomenon of firing bullets on occasions.

Major General Al-Maaitah passed orders  to intensify  field, operational and intelligence measures according to well-studied plans to monitor this phenomenon, which is a crime against society, and to arrest the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

This came during the security meeting chaired by the Director of Public Security, in the presence of the assistants and a number of senior leaders and managers to follow up on a number of security issues, the most important of which is the enhancement of security and reassurance for citizens and residents during the announcement of the results of the high school examinations.

Major General Al-Maaitah stressed the importance of maintaining the high levels of confidence among citizens based on the view of the ongoing security and humanitarian relationship, which was built on respect between police men and citizens.

The Director of Public Security said: We are in the front line to stand in the face of anyone who threatens the security and safety of society, through field deployment, automatic and human monitoring, and follow-up of reports received about gunshot cases and investigation until the arrest of the shooters, and the seizure of weapons used.

The Director of Public Security stressed the need to implement the traffic plans set to regulate traffic and secure the movement of citizens in cooperation with the concerned authorities.

Major General Al-Maaitah indicated that the measures taken, in addition to the spread of community awareness, have contributed to reducing this deadly phenomenon that causes injuries and deaths to innocent people who have no fault of their own, and we continue to confront it until it is completely eliminated from our society.

Al-Maaitah passed orders the traffic departments to enhance deployment and human and technical  control, which included fixed surveillance cameras, and drones to control all traffic violations that we witness every year in conjunction with the announcement of high school results.

The Director of Public Security referred to the educational and societal role of all members of society, to contribute to the rejection of such manifestations in order to protect society from the futility of careless people and to establish security for all citizens and residents.
