Traffic departments confirmed to Public Security Radio (AMEN FM) that the staff has been deployed since the early morning hours to all roads and ensure traffic control and maintain traffic safety highway in the kingdom.
The highway patrols operations officer stated that the morning movement on Friday was as usual on roads, indicating that not following the traffic instructions on highways causes many problems on the traffic flow.
The traffic operations officer added that the traffic control set, during the past 24 hours, several record speeds that are not commensurate with driving conditions in light of the current weather conditions, which increases the rates of exposure to or causing accidents and raises their severity.
The representative of the Traffic Department indicated that, in the traffic report, that safe arrival requires full commitment to safe driving and avoiding the traffic offences of speed limits.
Public Security Directorate renews its warnings to road users of the danger of fog formation and torrential rains forming in valleys and low places, and calls on drivers to beware of the risk of slips on roads, and not to commit dangerous violations that cause accidents, such as leaving a safe distance, not exceeding speed limits on roads, or sudden change of road tracks.
The Directorate stressed the need for safe use of heating devices of all types and ventilation of the house from time to time, calling the unified emergency number 911 in case if needed, as all the main operating rooms are available around the clock and their patrols are spread on all roads to help citizens.
