A security force from the Criminal Investigation Department arrested a thief who caused harm to a lady  while trying to steal her vehicle, after being able to identify him and locate his hiding place in record time.

PSD spokesman stated that the details of the video that shew a vehicle was stolen while its driver was parking on the main street in the Seventh Circle the day before yesterday.

The spokesman stated that the incident began with an attempt to steal a house in the Seventh Circle, as the thief failed to complete his theft because he saw a resident of the house, so he assaulted her and fled the place.

when the thief got out and tried to flee from the location, he saw a lady  parking her vehicle on the public street, so he started to get in the vehicle to steal it, and when the lady  tried to get out of the vehicle, he continued his trying because the lady  still in the vehicle before the lady was pulled for meters, which caused harm and injuries and she was taken to the hospital for treatment, added the PSD spokesman.

The spokesman confirmed that since the moment of the incident and its reporting, a special investigation team was formed from the Criminal Investigation Department to follow up the investigation of the case. The team was able, within a record time, to identify the person who was found to be hiding from sight. By searching for him and collecting information, several places where he was suspected of being present were searched, so that he was located in the Rusaifa area, as he was raided and arrested, and the stolen vehicle was seized in his possession. During the investigation, he confessed to committing theft and abuse, and work is underway to complete the investigations and refer him to the judiciary.
