Pursuant to the Royal directives to assist the Libyan brothers affected by the recent floods in the State of Libya, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate announced that, in joint coordination between the Ministry, the Jordan Armed Forces, the Arab Army ( JAF), Public Security Directorate, and the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan conducted, today, Thursday, the second Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft to the brotherly country of Libya, carrying the Jordanian international search and rescue team of the Public Security Directorate, to participate in search and rescue efforts for people as a result of torrents and floods, in addition to logistical and medical aids.
The Ministry's official spokesman, Ambassador Sinan Al-Majali, explained that the team includes 88 members, including 5 doctors from the Royal Medical Services.
It is worthy to be noted that the Jordan International Search and Rescue Team in the Civil Defense Directorate of the Public Security Directorate holds a heavy international classification as it is one of the highly professional international teams, and has many international participations in international rescue operations, the most recent of which was participation in search and rescue efforts for missing persons as a result of The earthquakes that struck Turkey in February of this year.
