The Tourism and Heritage Committee of the Senate, headed by H.E Engineer Abdul Hakim Mahmoud Al Hindi, praised the efforts made by the Public Security Directorate to advance the tourism sector in various parts of the Kingdom, by providing means of security and safety to tourists and visitors who visit the various archaeological sites in the Kingdom.
H.E Al-Hindi, during the committee’s visit today to the Tourism Police Department and their meeting with the Director of the Tourism Police Department, praised the role played by the department to enhance tourism security, within an integrated security vision in a participatory approach with the public and private sectors.
H.E Al-Hindi indicated to the need to continue supporting the efforts undertaken by the tourism Police Department in protecting the security of the nation and its guests and that the Tourism Committee, based on its legislative and supervisory role, will work to overcome any of the legislative obstacles that the Tourist Police Directorate may face.
The members of the committee appreciated the efforts of the tourism Police Department to develop its work in a way that serves the tourism process and achieves the necessary requirements for tourism security, through the spread of tourism sections in various archaeological and tourist sites, in addition to employing modern and advanced technology.
At the end of the visit, the Chairman and members of the committee were briefed by the Director of the Tourism Police Department, during which he explained the plans and strategies followed in the department’s work, aimed at achieving sustainable tourism security and providing the best services to guests and visitors of Jordan.
