Last Saturday, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Bintou Keita, visited the headquarters of the Jordanian peacekeeping forces in the city of Uvira.

Keita expressed her appreciation for the distinguished level enjoyed by the third Jordanian FPU / Congo, praising the roles it carries out and the high professionalism of its members in performing its duties in the operational aspects assigned to it.

The FPU commander presented a briefing in which he explained the most important duties and tasks carried out by the Jordanian FPU to keep peace and security in AOR, and the most important humanitarian services provided to help the local community.

The visit was attended by a number of community leaders and senior officials of the UN forces participating in the Congo mission.
