Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during the ceremony of distributing the "State Medal for Sacrifice" at the Turkish Presidential Complex in the Turkish capital, Ankara, today handed the leader of the Jordan international search and rescue team, Lieutenant Colonel Anas Al-Abadi, the high-ranking Special Order of the Great Sacrifice.

This medal comes in appreciation of the efforts of the Jordan international search and rescue team of Public Security Directorate - Civil Defense, and its important role in providing assistance to those affected by the earthquake that struck southern Turkey last February.
