The Traffic Department announced details of the traffic plan, closures and detours due to the celebrations of the kingdom on the Silver Jubilee events and the 25th anniversary of His Majesty King Abdullah II assuming his constitutional powers, scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 9, 2024.
Starting at 3:30 pm on Sunday, June 9, 2024, the closures and detours will be as follows:
- Traffic coming from Sweileh to the Medical City, will be detoured to the Khalda circle to Wasfi Al-Tal Street.
- Traffic movement from Wasfi Al-Tal Street to Khalda will be detoured towards Sweileh.
- Traffic coming from Al-Fuhais - Baccalaureate circle will be detoured right to Jumaa Al-Shalabi Street - Al Al-Bayt Street.
- Traffic coming from the airport road to the 8th circle will be detoured to the 7th circle, and traffic coming from the industry will be detoured to Queen Zein Street, and traffic coming from Al-Bayader will be detoured to the 7th circle.
- Traffic coming from the 7th circle will be detoured to Princess Tharwat Street.
- All sub-roads to King Abdullah II Street from the 8th circle to Khalda circle will be closed and detoured, in addition to the roads leading to the Nansser light.
- The plan has set specific facilities to visitors to Al Hussein Medical City during the closure periods (from Al-Aayan circle to Mohammad Al-Dahleh Street, Al-Hijaz Street to Al-Shaab Street towards Saeed Khair Street, reaching the Medical City).
- The plan includes deploying a large number of traffic policemen and traffic patrols to guide and assist citizens.
- The traffic plan also identified places and squares that have been prepared for parking vehicles wishing to follow the Royal procession and participate in national events.
- The Traffic Department calls on everyone to adhere to the instructions and guidelines of the traffic sergeants deployed on the roads to provide them with services and facilitate their movements.
- The Traffic Department stresses the importance of this occasion, and extends to His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, the highest congratulations and blessings and sincere prayers to Allah to preserve the security and stability in Jordan.
